Returns

At Ayafi, we strive to offer the best experience to our customers. We have a 5 day easy return policy, which means you have 5 days from the time of delivery to raise a return request.

We understand that sometimes you may change your mind after receiving the product. In such cases, you are welcome to request a return within the specified return window.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and in the same condition as received
  • It must be returned in its original packaging, with the saree bag and tags intact
  • A valid proof of purchase is required

Any item not meeting the above conditions will not be eligible for return.

By initiating a return, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms.

How to Initiate a Return

Please note:

  • Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted
  • We aim to keep returns hassle-free and will arrange the return pickup from our end

Return Charges:

  • A standard return fee of ₹299 will be deducted from the refundable amount
  • This fee may increase for heavy parcels (above 2 kg or multiple products)
  • Shipping charges and COD fees are non-refundable

Self-Shipping Option:

  • If you choose to ship the product yourself, we will reimburse up to ₹150, and any additional amount will be deducted

Refund Policy

We currently offer exchanges or store credit only. Cash refunds are not available under any circumstances.

  • Once the returned item passes our quality check, store credit will be issued within 2–3 working days
  • For COD orders, store credit (wallet balance) will be issued within 10 days of delivery
  • Store credit is valid for 1 year from the date of issue

Free Gifts

Complimentary gifts are offered on orders that meet a minimum purchase value.

  • In case of partial returns, if the order value falls below the qualifying amount, the free gift must also be returned
  • If the gift is not returned, ₹149 will be deducted from the refund/store credit

Exchanges

At Ayafi, we take pride in curating handpicked sarees. Each product is carefully inspected before dispatch. However, in the rare case that you receive a damaged or defective item, we’re here to help.

  • You must inform us within 24 hours of delivery via Instagram DM or email at ayafiofficial@gmail.com
  • The exchange request will be reviewed and processed within 7 days of delivery

Proof Requirement:

  • An unboxing video is mandatory, recorded from start to finish without cuts, clearly showing the defect
  • Claims without proper video proof may not be accepted

Product Condition:

  • The item must be unused, unwashed, and returned in its original packaging with tags intact

Important Notes:

  • Minor variations in color, texture, or weave are natural in handcrafted products and are not considered defects
  • Approved cases will be eligible for exchange or store credit only. Cash refunds are not applicable
  • No return handling fee will be charged for verified damaged or defective items
  • Ayafi reserves the right to decline exchange requests if the product does not meet the above conditions upon inspection

Return & Shipping:

  • Reverse pickup will be arranged for eligible PIN codes
  • The product must be securely repacked in the same manner as delivered

Self-Shipping (if pickup is unavailable):

  • You will be required to ship the product to us
  • A maximum reimbursement of ₹150 will be provided upon sharing valid proof of shipping
  • Any additional shipping cost will be borne by the customer

What Is Not Considered a Defect

At Ayafi, many of our products are handcrafted and made using traditional techniques. As a result, the following are not considered defects:

  • Minor variations in color, texture, or weave
  • Irregularities in handblock prints, including slight misalignment or color bleeding
  • Natural inconsistencies in handpainted sarees, such as brush strokes, uneven motifs, or variation in placement
  • Slight differences between website images and actual product colors due to lighting and screen settings

These are inherent characteristics of handmade products and add to their uniqueness.


Non-Returnable Items

Certain categories of products are not eligible for return or exchange, unless received in a damaged or defective condition:

  • Customized or personalized products, including fall/pico services and pre-draped sarees
  • Items purchased using store credit
  • Products marked as “Last Chance” or purchased under final sale/clearance offers
  • Add-on accessories, including wallets, notebooks, earrings, gift boxes, and keychains

Order Cancellations

  • Once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or modified.
  • Ayafi reserves the right to cancel any order at its sole discretion, including but not limited to:
    • Payment failures or verification issues
    • Stock unavailability
    • Suspected fraudulent or suspicious activity
  • In the event of a cancellation initiated by Ayafi, any applicable amount paid will be refunded or issued as store credit, as per the original mode of payment.
